I got here as fast as I could. I know you’re not going to believe me...I barely believe myself, but, please! You have to listen to me! It is of the utmost importance. I have been to the horizon and back and I must share what I have seen. The Dodge Dart is not what you think it is, it’s a terrible car!

I know, crazy right? A “terrible” car? From Fiat-Chrysler? From Sergio Marchionne, the Auto Exec who single-handedly saved Chrysler and the italian sweater industry?— “implausible” your logical brain responds. But hear me out.

I’ve driven one of these rare beauties and no, it does not have have the promised driving dynamics of a zippy italian hatch balanced with just a touch of american muscle. Actually, maybe it does and the Italian Giulietta which it is based off of is actually just a bit shit—I can’t say, I’ve never driven one, but, if it’s anything like the dart, I’d keep my distance from this particular paisano like he’s paying just a little too much attention to your drink at the club.

Now I know the marketing had you all ready to separate yourself from your well earned savings to go out and finance this fine Italian-American thoroughbred but don’t let them fool you. The reason they had Craig Robinson was so possessive over his Dart is because if someone actually got to touch it in those commercials they’d ask why the throttle response is like an old blender or why the door handles feel like the ones on an easy bake oven.

Don’t feel bad—admit it, we have all been duped by a pretty face before, and it will happen again. Just make sure you spread the news, once the word gets out, I’m calling it—this thing won’t last, I’m just glad I got to you in time, before it was too late.

I had it for a rental for about a week and a half and it was god awful. I actually preferred the altima and its CVT to this god awful autotragic

My friend just purchased a Dart and it’s really nice in my opinion. The 2.0L sounds amazing and it isn’t really slow or bad to drive at all. His is only an SXT and even still it’s a really nice place to be.

But you know, a modern Neon on whatever people are calling it.

I really liked the Fiat Bravo (previous gen of this platform) that I had for a few weeks as a rental in Europe. So much so I test drove a Dart, and it was trash. The shifter was garbage, clutch engagement point was way high, the 1.4 turbo engine had to be wrung out hard to get any power, and the back seat was impossible to get into. It was an Aero too, so it scraped on everything. Total disappointment of a car.

I drove a GT and I gotta say the drive just felt cheap to me, I was not a fan. I actually do like how it looks though contrary to what a lot of people say.

i heard an amazing sound coming from behind me, I turned and saw a Dart. I couldn’t believe it. I mean it was certainly not a stock set up but it really did sound incredible. I think I was so surprised because of it being a dart. My friend had a 200 as a rental and hated it. The interior wasn’t bad though.
